Today we toured the BMW factory and museum. The BMW factory also had 99% automation and included more robots than any other factory. They factory can produce 1000+ cars a day! After seeing BMW we walked around Munchen and went on a great German group dinner.

Today we got up super early to leave for Munich. When we got here, we toured the BMW factory and museum. After visiting all three plants, I personally liked the Mercedes one the most. We got dinner at this beautiful place that resembled harry potter, and the pork was delicious *chefs kiss*.

Waking up early, today we traveled from Reutlingen to Munich via trains. We then toured BMW where we finally got to see some of a paint shop. Then we walked around the BMW museum and got to see BMW’s vast history within the automobile and motorcycle industry.
Day 5 – Erin Burt
We went to the BMW factory tour, which showed a great combination of automation and human workers. I saw the BMW Museum and Olympia Park after the factory tour. We went on a group dinner at a Bavarian restaurant and explored their city.

We went to Reutlingen University and were given a lecture on supply chain. We completed a supply chain activity by recording times for a scooter assembly. Finally, we went through stations of that included each research students projects.
Munich 3/14
Today we took an early train ride to Munich. We visited the BMW factory where we learned how they prioritized environmentalism in their manufacturing process by making their own car seats and not producing as much odor which also was for the neighbors case. Today we travelled from Reutlingen to Munich by train, then got a thorough tour of the factory! After this we briefly explored the museum then the Olympic village, which was absolutely breathtaking!

We spent most of the day at Reutlingen University studying Industry 4.0. It was really fascinating to see the studies happening worldwide and getting to talk to the students firsthand about their projects!

we went to the BMW museum & factory. we climbed the tallest hill in Olympic Park, and we were able to see the Austrian Alps!
