Today we went to Dachau Concentration camp and received a tour. Learning the history of the camp while seeing it in person was incredible. We then explored more downtown Munich and attended the local farmers market. Later we all went on the final group dinner at a classic German restaurant.

Today we toured the Allianz Arena and Museum. The arena was huge and home to the first NFL game in Europe. We then toured downtown Munich, learned many facts about the old kings/dukes of the area. The history of Munich goes so far back and being able to see murals of who lived there at [...]

Today we toured the BMW factory and museum. The BMW factory also had 99% automation and included more robots than any other factory. They factory can produce 1000+ cars a day! After seeing BMW we walked around Munchen and went on a great German group dinner.

Today we went to Work150 Research Institute. We learned about industry 4.0 and completed lessons using a Yamazumi chart. Using this chart we were able to distinguish bottlenecks in production lines and find solutions. After that we had lunch with the university students and end the visit with some more industry 4.0 demos.

Today we toured the Porsche factory. It was very interesting seeing the production line similarities and differences with Mercedes Benz. One similarity between the two companies is that they both use robots to apply glue to windows as well as handle the windows. This allows for consistent results on a tedious task.

Today we went to the Mercedes factory and had a tour of the facilities. It was very interesting seeing how much robots and AI work to produce the cars. The main production area of the cars had 99% automation.
