We went to the Dachau concentration camp and memorial. Explored Munich further including Marienplatz. We had a Bavarian dinner with the entire group.

We went on a tour of the Allianz Arena and saw everything, even their locker rooms. After, we took the train to Marienplatz where we saw the Glockenspiel from outside. Finally, we went on a tour of the Royal Palace that showed centuries of history.

We went to the BMW factory tour, which showed a great combination of automation and human workers. I saw the BMW Museum and Olympia Park after the factory tour. We went on a group dinner at a Bavarian restaurant and explored their city.

We went to Reutlingen University and were given a lecture on supply chain. We completed a supply chain activity by recording times for a scooter assembly. Finally, we went through stations of that included each research students projects.

Our group drove to the Porsche factory and museum. I went on the factory tour and was surprised by how it was almost completely assembled by the workers. Finally, we had another Bavarian dinner with students and faculty of Reutlingen University.

Our group left early in the morning to see the Mercedes Benz factory and I went on the optional city tour afterwards. The manufacturing process was 99.3% automated and had so many intricate steps. On the bus tour, I was shown more of the residential part of the city and saw many beautiful parks.

We started off the day by going on a walking tour with one another. We saw the library, Duke’s old houses, protests, historical buildings, and different types of stores. We had a group dinner at a Bavarian restaurant, which is the first Bavarian restaurant I’ve been to.
