Hamburg [5-20-23]

Our day consisted of a 6-7hr train ride from Prague to Hamburg. I thoroughly enjoyed our journey as I got to meet several people from other countries. One lady I talked to was raised in East Germany during the Cold War and was forced to learn Russian in school.

Prague [5-19-23]

This morning, we toured a Sköda facility just northeast of Prague. Unfortunately, we only got to see the Press shop and the Weld shop. One thing I noticed that concerned me was the lack of PPE being worn inside the plant.

Prague [5-18-23]

Today, we toured the old town area and saw the famous astronomical clock. Afterwards, we saw the Prague castle and the Gothic architecture was mind blowing. Prague is such a beautiful city!

Munich [5-16-23]

We toured BMW Welt as well as their manufacturing facility in Munich. Seeing the BMW plant has been my favorite activity thus far as I currently work in automobile manufacturing. It was very interesting to compare the differences of production processes between BMW and the company I work for.

Munich [5-15-23]

In the morning, we visited the Royal Palace of Munich. It is absolutely incredible what the Germans have been able to accomplish as far as restoration work. The architecture and furnishing of the Royal Palace are amazing! Later, we went the Dachau concentration camp. It was very sobering to see the horrific conditions that prisoners [...]
