The group activity for the day was traveling to the European vehicle factory Skoda. Mostly an exclusive brand to Europe Skoda develops cars and SUVs to be super affordable to customers. They are apart of Volkswagen family, but they take pride in keeping their original branding and doing all their designing in house. They are also a very noteworthy stock car manufacturer for the races that take place in Europe. On tour they showed off some interesting technology with assembly lines from start to finish of building a vehicle. A couple that stood out to me where employees wearing gloves that could scan barcodes for inventory management. The other was the automation of quality control with lasers and 3d scanners to make sure every car meets standards.
