I don’t even know where to begin. We started with a walking tour where we saw a fascinating churchbell ringing at Marienplatz. I also visited Asamkirche which was as incredible as the pictures I saw online. We visited Viktualienmarkt and I got gingerbread and pretzel-shaped pasta. It was fascinating hearing the stories of Dr. Scott talking about her experiences living in Munich for 6 months. We also went to English Garden where we saw people surfing. We went to Olympic Park and the BMW Museum. I ended up trying a pretzel from the train station for lunch and it was divine. It was the perfect ratio of butter to bread. When we were given free time, some friends and I went to a jazz club where we befriended one of the soloist trumpet players which was awesome. He reminded me of my dad and he rode on the same train when we got back to our hotel. It was overall such a busy but incredible day. I would say Munich is the best city I’ve visited.
