The morning of our first day was spent waiting for and chasing around trains. Ironically, this was the one weekend our stop was under maintenance. That meant we had to get off at the next stop and walk to our hotel. Once we all got situated in our rooms we headed over to Dachau concentration camp, where we were given a guided tour by a passionate professor. While depressing, it stood as a good reminder of history we shouldn’t forget. Finally, we ended the day at the Höfbrauhaus, where we ate a traditional Bavarian dinner with oversized beers and a polka band.
