Day 10 – Delft & Boat Tour

I had a great time at Delft today! The city square provided a glimpse into an older European life. I had a chance to taste test and buy some cheese to bring back to my family and friends at home. Afterwards, we visited the windmills that helped manage water in the Netherlands. I was surprised by this innovative use of technology, but it shows how the Dutch used their creativity to build a life in the Netherlands. The hike and the views were also a nice change of pace from the condensed city life we have been experiencing in Europe. Overall, I’m glad to have gone on this trip and experience a life very different from the American culture I am used to.
