Today was primarily a travel day, and experiencing the high-speed rail to Rotterdam made me wish we had the same way to move around at home. Rotterdam itself is completely different from Munich or Stuttgart because instead of replicating historic styles after the war, the city rebuilt for cars and modern convenience. The absolute highlight was the afternoon walking tour, featuring a life-changing stroopwafel. At the end we went on a water taxi which makes a lot more sense after seeing how much of the city is connected through waterways.
