Today is the last real day of our time in Europe, and I will be returning to the United States tomorrow. Today was definitely a more relaxed day, we visited the stadium of Feyenoord Rotterdam, which was a fun experience, although it’s a similar case to FC Bayern, where I’m not a big soccer fan. Hearing about some of their games from the tour guide (who I could tell was definitely a fan) was interesting.
Overall, I’m very glad I decided to do this trip. It had some early struggles for me personally, it’s been great for my knowledge, I’ve learned a lot about European history, it’s been a great experience, hanging out with the people in this group and becoming familiar with German and Dutch culture, and it’s been great for my health even, with all the activity we’ve done on this trip. I hope to bring parts of my time here in Europe back to the United States, not just relating to what I’ve learned within the confines of this class, but also some of the lifestyle choices that Europeans make that make them so much healthier in general.
