Kicking off the day we went on a bike tour of Rotterdam. While we had some sort of grasp of the scale of both the city and its famous port, biking all around it really gave me a feel for how large the city truly was. We got to witness the shipping boats and the process of them interacting with the docking stations. Later we met up with a PHD student who showed us around the historic The Hague. We went to an art museum and learned about all the international UN buildings there and all about the culture of Dutch politics.
