Today, we had the pleasure of being welcomed to Amsterdam by a fantastic Purdue alumna! She graciously showed us around the vibrant city she now calls home, sharing valuable tips on must-see spots and local favorites. Afterward, we had plenty of time to explore our individual interests. As I wandered through the tight, winding streets, crossed the city’s many beautiful bridges, and ducked into barely noticeable alleys, I found myself pondering the logistics behind Rotterdam’s development—and how the city looks and functions today.
