Today we experienced an excellent behind the scenes tour of the Mercedes-Benz factory. Mercedes-Benz has developed a manufacturing system that skillfully integrates advanced technology with human expertise. They have created a way of manufacturing which is harnessing the strengths of technology to bring together the tools, parts, and people such an efficient way. Our tour guide provided detailed insight into what was going on each step of the process and answered our questions with ease, even those related to the sourcing of materials and logistics behind the production process.
