Germany Spring Break Study Abroad – Day 3 – 3/12/2024 – Ryan Cameron

Today was our last day in Stuttgart and our first day in Reutlingen. We were able to see the Mercedes-Benz museum which had been closed the day prior which gave us more depth on the history of the company and the effort that had been put into creating this company. We the were able to tour the Porsche factory and get a feel for the similarities and differences between this factory and Mecedes-Benz’s. We got a different feel for the emphasis on human-robot dynamics where Porsche’s focus seemed to be on robots aiding humans whereas Mercedes focus on humans aiding robots. One experience I had from today was when I was at the Mercedes-Benz museum returning the audio tour me and the receptionist got help up in miscommunication as we both tried to speak the opposite language which created a moment of hesitation that wasn’t very long and was quickly resolved but it was kind of hilarious thinking back on it.
