We began the day with a tour of the Mercedes-Benz museum. The structure of the museum was very interesting, and it emphasized the role that the cars played in the development of culture and society throughout the 20th century. Afterwards, we took a short break and toured the Porsche Factory, which was much smaller than Mercedes, but had incredible technological integration (AI, less so automation) nonetheless. The focus there seems to be primarily on the precision and customization that humans can bring to their production line. Finally, we ate dinner with the students of Reutlingen University, but unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to talk to them much.
