We started off the day by taking a train out to the Bayern Football Club’s Arena and we had a tour of the whole stadium including the field. The most interesting part about the stadium had to be the museum. I learned that before World War 2 the stadium used to be used for the Jewish club team here in Munich and most of the fans were also Jewish. When the war started the team lost all of it’s players due to enlisting or being persecuted. After the Arena we went to the Dachau Concentration camp and learned about the sorrow filled history that took place there. We saw the housing, crematorium, and gas chambers that were there along with many sites to pray at depending on your religion affiliation. After that we all went back to the hotel to rest up a little bit before celebrating St. Patty’s day in a very interesting Irish Pub. The line was out of the door there and I didn’t stay long before going back to watch the Purdue Basketball game score and to see us get knocked out of the tournament in round one to end the night.
