Today began with a trip to The Hague, the center of government for the Netherlands. We walked by the parliament building, the different offices of the ministry, and even saw a couple ministers. We also toured an art museum and saw paintings by Rembrandt and Vermeer. Next, the group traveled to Amsterdam, where we had more freedom to explore the city. I went to see the botanical gardens, go thrifting, and eat at a riverside café. I enjoyed having a less structured day where we had the freedom to experience the things we wanted.
