Day 1, Munich, Germany

My favorite part of day 1 in Munich was eating at the Hofbrauhaus. I really enjoyed listening to the live music during dinner, and trying the dumplings. Today we also toured Dachau concentration camp. A fact that stood out to me that our tour guide told us while at Dachau was that in two and half days the amount of people being killed at the concentration camps would exceed the total number of students at Purdue. I found this fact to be scary and sad; however, being able to gain a better understanding of Germany’s history is something I will never forget. Overall today was long, but very impactful.
