I did not expect there to be as much of a hatred toward Russians and Germans in the Czech Republic, but after seeing some of the country’s history I can understand where it is coming from. Going from a political sacrificial lamb to Germany to a communist puppet of the Soviet union and having both been recent enough for people to still be alive to remember both is going to make those old wounds take a long time to heal and move past.
