Day 10 – Aaron Osterman

Today started off with a visit to both the town of Delft and the Windmills of Kinderdijk. During the tour of Delft, I learned that William of Orange, the founding father of the Netherlands, was buried there. In addition to learning some of the town’s history, it was also cool to see how unique their architecture was from Rotterdam. Seeing the windmills was my favorite part of today. I had no idea what to expect, so I was really surprised to see just how many there were. The final activity today was a boat tour of Rotterdam. I enjoyed getting to see so many new sections of the port that I hadn’t seen before and I now understand why it is considered the largest port in Europe.
