Day 7 – Jack Wollenweber

I went to Amsterdam last year, and I expected Rotterdamn to be very similar, this was not the case. This city was level during the blitzkriegs of WWII. This unique circumstance gave architects a blank canvas to build their wildest creations, without having to worry about preserving history like most of Europe. My favorite building was the Markthal, a massive dome structure that is both a giant food court and many living spaces, all uniquely integrated into the dome.
