Logan Lippert- Day 4 Munich

Today, we started by heading to Allianz Arena, where we got a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium! We were met by some of our friends from the university, which was cool, and we saw all the different parts of the area, like the VIP stands, press room, and team locker room. I liked hearing about how passionate the fans of FC Bayern München are, and the long history of the team and the arena itself. Then, after lunch, we got to see the Residenz Museum, which had a lot of rooms and artifacts that told the history of Bayern’s ruling family and the city of Munich. It was cool to see how they mirrored other cultures, like the Italian inspired fountain or the Versailles inspired rooms, including one that was inspired by the hall of mirrors, which I thought was interesting. We learned a lot of history, and were able to learn about how the culture has evolved over time.
