Day 3 – Aaron Osterman

Today we traveled to Munich to meet graduate students at one of Munich’s universities, tour BMW’s factory and eat at the famous Hofbrauhaus. I enjoyed getting to collaborate with these students and learn more about what school is like in Germany. BMW’s factory tour really caught my interest more than the Mercedes-Benz and the Porsche factories did due to how automated their process is. Seeing just how many machines they had and how precise they were was unlike anything I had ever seen before. I was also really fascinated seeing how big Hofbrauhaus is since I had no idea that it used to be a massive part of a brewery before it had been transformed into a restaurant.
