Monday 5-19 – Lauren Holloway

We took a tour around the Port of Rotterdam on this day and it was awesome! We learned that they are building areas out instead of inland so that they don’t have to bring carriers all the way through the port because it’s very costly and time consuming. With the old inland areas that are no longer being used, they are looking to build parks and fill in the water with land for housing to meet modern demands. We also visited The Hague and I loved the muesam tour and the tour around the city with all of the historical and political buildings.
