Today was another good day, we first toured the Allianz arena where we all got to take a behind the scenes look at the FC Munich Bayern team. There we also got to do a players walkout from the tunnel and sit in the on-field seats for the players. After we toured the facility, we went through the museum where they had over 10 Champion’s League Trophies while winning 4 out of the 5 recent previous year’s trophies.
After the arena, we then toured the Royal Palace and learned some of the history that shaped Munich into the city that it is today. My favorite part of that tour had to be the room of mirrors where a hallway adorned with mirrors were arranged in a way to make the hall look infinitely long. The Royal Palace also had a fresco in one room that made the ceiling look like it extended stories higher than it actually was. The palace was massive, and although we didn’t do the full tour, I hope to come back in the future and do it.
