Touring Mercedes-Benz in Sindelfingen, Germany was an interesting experience. One of the first differences I noticed in employee culture was the fact that employees had access to bicycles and scooters to get from place to place in the plant. In my experience with manufacturing plants in America, this is not a common occurrence. While in the assembly plant, our tour guide explained how there were teams of 12 members. All 12 members had the necessary skills to work on different models of cars and all components associated with that car.
