We spent our final day in Munich visiting Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern, and the BMW complex. Beyond being (by far) Germany’s winningest football club, Bayern has a museum within the stadium to showcase their many championship cups and trophies alongside memorabilia.
Time at the BMW complex was spent at BMW World and on the factory tour. The tour was the highlight of the day, for me; getting the chance to see the company’s body manufacturing process from blank sheets of metal to fully-assembled was very stimulating. There was not much emphasis placed on the design or assembly of the powertrain, however it was quite interesting to see the marriage of the body to the guts.
