Day 5 – Delft, Kinderdijk, and Rotterdam

Although long, this day was also jam packed with lots of fun activities for us to do. The first thing we did was head to the city of Delft, it was super quaint and contained a lot of history which was fun to learn about. There was also a fun market with all sort of different food, produce, and more. Next we went to the Kinderdijk windmills which were fun to walk around. The windmills are surrounded by water and the whole area was super pretty to just walk around and look at. The last thing we did for the day was meet up with students from Erasmus university and do a case competition with them, followed by dinner on the SS Rotterdam. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about meeting with the students and doing the case study with them, but I thought it was very insightful, and interesting to hear all of their perspectives. Dinner was also super fun because we just got to talk to all of the students and learn all about their lives, it was so interesting to hear about how different my life was compared to their life, and how different Dutch and American culture was. I really enjoyed getting to talk to each and every student, and I was able to learn so much!
