Today was quite the day. We had such a scenic drive around the countryside and a wonderful food tour. I really loved the Belgian waffle and the view of the city from the boat. On the way to Amsterdam, a butcher told me about some of the food items which were tasty around the city. He expressed a lot of tension regarding the country – along with a few preconceived notions about America and it’s “nationalistic attitude”. The boat ride flew by. I hope to continue experiencing the shops and sights the city has over the next few nights.
