Last day! The windmills were so pretty, with some clever engineering inside. The Dutch utilize the energy of the wind to move water around and increase crop yields. This is no new concept, and they have been doing so since the early 1200s. We also got a tour of the largest port in Europe, and it’s a modern day attribute to Dutch success. These 2 experiences show the prowess of the Netherlands in the past and present.
