Today we got the opportunity to tour both the Mercedes-Benz and the Porsche factories. Getting to see the Mercedes-Benz assembly line was really interesting to me because I had no idea what it would look like beforehand. Watching how each of the platforms was constantly moving and how people would switch in and out throughout the process was fascinating. The thing that stood out to me most about Porsche was their process for making each leather piece for their cars. It was incredible how precise their machines were at taking big sheets of leather and cutting them down into only the essential parts.
