During the Munich city tour, our guide mentioned that the one of the local churches was unofficially the limit for the height of buildings in the city. She mentioned that after a modern skyscraper was built, they had a bite to ban all new modern buildings with over 80 percent voting no for more taller buildings. I find interesting how much Germans care about their city and actively participate in planning it.
